Cuffing The Vision

I want to start out by asking you, Do you have a vision? If so, what are you doing to bring that vision to life?

As I wind up this series called “Cuffing Season”, I wanted to deal with one more thing- Your Vision. When we talk about cuffing season, we typically only refer to relationships. I want to bring about the perspective of cuffing your vision.

During this time of the year, sometimes our focus is on our relationship or lack thereof. It can get to the point where whether or not we will be “cuffed” consumes us. Everywhere we go, we start wondering if we’re going to meet someone there or not. We see other couples and feel a way that they have what we don’t have. What if we changed our mind frame in this season from being cuffed to actually being proactive and cuffing something, rather than someone.

It is time for many of us to “Cuff the Vision.” Habakkuk 2:2 says, “And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.” It is not enough to just say you have a vision or think about the vision, but you literally have to start writing the vision and making it plain. Write out the details of what it is that you desire, want you want to see, or want to do.

No one that has ever done anything great kept their vision in their head. They wrote it out and started planning for it. The finances, resources, or clientele should not hinder you from writing down and preparing for what it is that you want.

If your vision is marriage, write down the type of marriage that you desire to have. Don’t stop there though, start walking out the things you need to do in order to prepare yourself to have exactly what you want. How can you say you want a marriage with good communication, but you don’t know how to communicate; if anything bothers you, you instantly start cussing and being disrespectful. When you start writing things down, you begin to see what areas you need work on as well.

Proverbs 29:18 says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish:…”. What this is saying is death is a result of the lack of vision. It may not be physical death, but it could be the death of your dreams, the death of your marriage, even the death of your hope. A few years ago I had this vision to start this blog. It was only a thought and it sat there and nothing happened. Finally, I wrote it all out and wrote it down. It was like as soon as I got a VISION for it and wrote it out, it came to life.

In this season, as we are winding up 2018, I want to encourage you to write the vision NOW! Don’t wait until 2019. The time is NOW! Write the vision and make it plain. Instead of worrying about cuffing someone or being cuffed, it is time to put that energy into your vision and your goals. It is time for your dreams to be restored. I pray that a revival comes to you and your purpose. It is time to begin again with a new energy and then K.T.S.E. (Keep That Same Energy) moving forward.

It’s time to Get A Vision! Cuff the Vision! KTSE with the Vision!
